Partnership and collaboration driving community engagement and commercial sustainability

Partnerships at Geelong Gallery were led by Penny Whitehead (formerly Deputy Director) and implemented by the commercial operations team including marketing, public programs and partnership management. Fundamentally a process of listening and mutual benefits, partnerships drove the community engagement strategy for Geelong Gallery and in turn, supported the commercial viability of the Gallery. Whether a Geelong Gallery Store range such as the GenU range (pictured), murals initiated throughout the Geelong community (including the Newcomb Secondary mural project with Rone pictured) or commercial partner benefits and events offering, the underpinning strategy was based on collaboration, accountability and careful stakeholder management.
